1. WHO THIS POLICY COVERS

This Privacy Policy explains how KOOLKID SHIT ("KKS," "we," "us," or "our"), an Idaho-based business, handles personal information when you visit koolkidshit.com, join our email list, or contact us about the site.

This policy applies to the current KKS prelaunch website. A future store, event registration, loyalty program, text-message program, or other service may involve additional information and terms. If our practices materially change, we will update this policy before or when the new practice begins, as required by law.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information you give us

• Email list information: your email address when you sign up for drop announcements, events, and other KKS marketing.
• Communications: your email address and whatever information you include when you contact us.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our website, hosting, content-delivery, security, and email-form providers may receive limited technical data. This can include your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, requested pages, date and time, approximate location derived from IP address, and diagnostic or security events.

Cookies and similar technologies

KKS does not currently place advertising pixels or use behavioral analytics on this site. The site's infrastructure and the Brevo signup form may use cookies, local storage, or similar technology that is necessary to deliver the site, operate the form, remember technical preferences, prevent abuse, or maintain security. Your browser may let you block or delete these technologies, but doing so can affect site or form functionality.

If we later add nonessential analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking, we will update this notice and provide consent or opt-out controls where legally required.

3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use personal information to:

• manage the KKS email list and send the messages you requested;
• respond to questions, requests, and other communications;
• operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the site;
• detect spam, fraud, abuse, security threats, and technical problems;
• maintain records of consent and honor unsubscribe or privacy requests;
• enforce our Terms of Service and protect KKS, our visitors, and others; and

We do not use your signup email for a materially different purpose without giving you appropriate notice and obtaining consent when required.

Where a law requires us to identify a legal basis, we rely on: your consent for marketing emails; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the site and responding to you; performance of a contract or steps requested before a contract when applicable; and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent to marketing at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.

• Email service provider: Brevo processes email-list submissions, manages subscriptions and suppression records, and delivers messages for us. Brevo's own processing is described in its Privacy Policy.
• Website providers: hosting, content-delivery, infrastructure, font-delivery, security, and technical vendors that help make the site available and protect it.
• Professional advisers: attorneys, accountants, insurers, and similar advisers when reasonably necessary and subject to appropriate confidentiality duties.
• Legal and safety reasons: authorities or other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or the integrity of the site.
• Business changes: a buyer, successor, or adviser in connection with a proposed or completed merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer, subject to applicable law.

6. HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION

We keep an active subscriber's email address until the person unsubscribes, asks us to delete it, or we no longer need the list. After an unsubscribe request, we may retain a minimal suppression record so we do not accidentally resubscribe or contact that address. We keep communications and related records only as long as reasonably necessary for the request, legal obligations, disputes, security, or legitimate business records.

Technical and security records are retained according to provider schedules and our reasonable operational needs. Residual copies may remain temporarily in backups until overwritten in the ordinary course. We will not retain personal information longer than reasonably necessary for the disclosed purpose, subject to legal requirements.

7. YOUR CHOICES AND PRIVACY RIGHTS

Email choices

You can stop marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any KKS marketing email, by using our unsubscribe form, or by contacting us. We may still send a response you request or a legally required non-marketing message.

Privacy requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information; withdraw consent; object to or restrict certain processing; or appeal a denied request. KKS will honor applicable rights and will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authority and direct identity verification.

Because we do not currently sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, a browser-based opt-out preference signal does not change our current practices. If those practices change, we will honor legally recognized signals where required.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

This site and the KKS email list are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. Do not submit information if you are under 13. If you believe a child under 13 submitted personal information, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

9. SECURITY

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we handle. No website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive personal information through the signup form or ordinary email.

10. INTERNATIONAL VISITORS

KKS is based in the United States. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location. Where required, we and our providers use legally recognized safeguards for cross-border transfers.

11. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

The site may link to third-party services such as Instagram. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. KKS does not control and is not responsible for a third party's privacy, security, content, or practices.

12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy as our site, services, providers, or legal obligations change. The "Last Updated" date will show when the policy was revised. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by law.
